New Year's Eve

Happy New Years!
I'm going to be participating in a New Year's Day chat tomorrow from 5pm-6pm at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bethwylde/ Several other authors will be chatting tomorrow as well. Drop by and check out the contests and the excerpts.
It's been a rough couple of days. Z has been more than a bit fussy. He doesn't want to be held or put down. He doesn't want to eat, he is dry, he doesn't have a fever, his tummy is soft and he's having regular bowel movements. He just wants to fuss.

It's been really important having a second parent here during this time. I become more and more amazed that anyone could raise a child on their own. Single mothers already have my utmost respect. But now, it is even more astonishing to me that anyone could do this alone.

One of the few places Z is quiet is in the car. We took him on a very special trip yesterday, his first trip to a book store. Of course we limited him to one book (grin).

Happy New Year to all three of you. I'm sorry to hear that Z's going through a fussy time. Hopefully it will pass soon. What book did he pick out? Hopefully it was something good.

Happy New Year! Sometimes they just need to fuss. That's okay. Nobody is ever in a good mood all the time...

Just fussy. We had sotr of stopped swaddling consistently and he really needs to be swaddled. It does wonders to calm him down. That and his sling.
